You come to me, asking if you can learn to predict the future? Could you even stand to experience that?
What do you expect to happen? You will be placed away in a safe environment while you can watch footage of the future on a television screen? What, you expected to just think of the future and get your answers?
Do YOU know how to put a thought into someone's brain? I do. I have the ability to jump through time at will, picking up and setting down strands of destiny as I choose. I have infinite time. I also have infinite creative potential, but not in any convenient way. I can manipulate elements, which in chain can manipulate galaxies, but even with infinite time, do YOU have infinite patience or willpower? I don't.
But let's say I did. Here is how I could put a thought into someone's head:
First, I would have to study every single atom in your brain, every single indescribable sliver of time, for each and every concept you're hoping to receive a transmission of. Every CONCEPT. You cannot think of time without thinking of language. You cannot think of language without ignoring your base instincts. Well, YOU don't have to ignore your base instincts, but I would. And you also can't hope to understand time without visualizing some kind of misty aura of what it means to experience a timeline. Unless you are one of the people who can, in which case I would instead have to study the way you experience language so I can parse the associations you make between phonemes and lived experiences.
Do you understand that? That alone is multiple hextillions' worth of lifetimes of work. To put it another way, if you combine the full lifetime of every single person who ever lived and maybe who will live, every flicker of motivation; every instance of yearning; every photon of heat expended in pointless physical labor; you would still not be able to measure the affect it has on the total effort required for this leg of the project.
But say you overcome that, the second part of this requires the manual manipulation of every single atom in your brain and even other parts of your body in order to provide the required firing of synapses. This can't be all done at once, for that would require more energy than the brain can even produce. But say I manipulate your brain so that it CAN produce that energy; you wouldn't understand it unless I manually parse it all for you anyway.
But that's enough. No, you can't ask for MY powers, no, you can't ask for more wishes, but WHAT do you want? On your sandwich? Wake up you're at the Wendy's
